This Selection is open to both men and women willing to publicly promote the goals of the Society to the public at large.

These individuals will be our Official Media Ambassadors and Spokespersons.

Service to others always comes first for each Fellow of the Society; therefore it is
not mandatory for every Member or Fellow of the Society to be a Spokesperson.  Each of the goals of the Members and Fellows must be met to serve the community at large.  Those, however, able to also
promote the Society and the call to service around the world and in each country will also be acknowledged.

The Spokesperson position is
time intensive and is not mandatory, and should not be taken lightly.  Much is expected of each Spokesperson.  Failure to meet any of the requirements of a Spokesperson will result in removal of the person from Spokesperson status, and perhaps, the
dismissal of the Spokesperson from the Society.

Spokesperson(s) will be held to a higher standard than other members.  The selection will be live in 2008 - 2009 Spokesperson(s) if there is sufficient interest from all Fellows.  Based on the number of candidates, some Spokesperson titles may not be provided. Spokesperson(s) must have
excellent credentials and possess strong good will ambassadorial skills.  Candidates will lead seminars and demonstrate etiquette and poise under pressure.  Candidates portfolios must be complete with recommendations from State or Nationally recognized organizations and
representatives.  Candidates should be aware of protocols of introduction, greetings, information exchange, etc.  Candidates must provide written documentation and oral presentations that demonstrate excellent verbal skills.  Candidates must be well versed on current events.
Unlike a
traditional pageant, the selection process will be similar to a diplomatic job interview.
Although rigorous in nature, the selection committee will select the person or persons who display the aptitude and the desire necessary for the title.

All Spokesperson(s) must adhere strictly to the
ByLaws and Constitution of the Ambassadorial Society of America.
